PENDLETON — At a special meeting on Jan. 8, Judge George Gasparovic swore in two Pendleton Town Council members, Robert Jones and Jessica Smith — both of whom were re-elected in November — and new Pendleton Clerk-Treasurer Matt Roberts.

Past council president Bob Jones shared his appreciation for the opportunity to serve the community for the past five years as president and councilman.

In turn, the council and town administration expressed their appreciation of Jones’ service as president.

Nominations were accepted from the council for officers for 2019.

With a unanimous vote, Jessica Smith was elected president of the council.

Chad Wolfe also received a unanimous vote to continue to serve as council vice president.
