PENDLETON
Doris Kay Cox, 76, of Pendleton, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born on January 28, 1943 in Carthage, Indiana and resided most of her life in Pendleton.
Doris graduated from Pendleton High School in 1961.
She worked for Frisch’s Big Boy in Anderson for 38 years.
She was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church. Doris had many hobbies including going to social events with friends, listening to music, and most importantly spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her loving children, Frank (Kim) Cox of Fox River Grove, IL and Cheryl (Bill) Chandler of Beech Grove; and grandchildren, Blake, Diana, Cameron, Whitney, Caleb, Joshua, Hannah, and Zachary. Also surviving is her brother, Wendell (Joy) Green and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Cox; father, Harold Green; mother, Betty (Robert) Potts; and siblings, Caroll Green and Sharon Ballenger.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.
Services will be Thursday, April 11, 2019, 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Wiles officiating.
Burial will take place in the Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
