Local students earn distinction
EVANSVILLE — University of Southern Indiana recently named several students from Pendleton to its Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.
Earning the distinction are: Rebekah S. Fuller, Sydra C. Parker, Curtis D. Patterson and Jayden M. Wenning.
Undergraduate students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade-point average (on a 4.0 system) to be named to the list.
Student-athlete earns honor
GREENCASTLE — DePauw University inducted Kate Cowger of Pendleton into Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society this year.
She is one of more than 700 Tigers student-
athletes to be recog-nized since the organization was founded at DePauw in 1996.
Students named to Trine President’s List
ANGOLA — Trine University named the following local students to its President’s List for the spring 2021 term.
To earn the honor, students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade-point average of 3.75-4.00.
Seth Moore of Pendleton, majoring in biology
Kylie Wolverton of Pendleton, majoring in exercise science-pre physical therapy 3+3
Local student graduates
FINDLAY, OHIO — Cassandra Morefield of Lapel graduated recently from the University of Findlay.
She earned a bachelor of science in forensic biology.
Local woman earns Dean’s List honor
GROVE CITY, PENNSYLVANIA — Grove City College named Hannah Kaufmann of Pendleton to its Dean’s List with High Distinction for the spring 2021 semester.
Kaufmann, a 2017 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, is an English major.
To earn the honor, students must have a grade-point average of 3.85 to 4.0.
Kaufmann is the daughter of Jill Brooks from Pendleton.
Local woman earns academic honor
CEDARVILLE, OHIO — Cedarville University named Chelsea Baker of Pendleton to its Dean’s Honor List for the spring 2021 semester.
The recognition requires students to obtain a 3.75 grade-point average or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Baker is majoring in intercultural STD-missiology.
Local students earn IUK honors
KOKOMO — Several local students earned academic honors at Indiana University Kokomo for the 2021 spring semester.
Those earning either Dean’s List or Chancellor’s List honors, all of whom earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 12 credit hours throughout the grading period, include:

Lapel — MacKenzi Frances Crosley, Allison Haley Lehman, Luke Patrick Richardson
