PENDLETON — A detour on State Street west of downtown has been delayed with a new start date of Monday, Aug. 2.
State Street between West and Adams streets is scheduled to be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The detour will be in place through Aug. 16 (or until work is complete), according to town information.
The detour is to allow for construction work on parts of Franklin and State streets.
When the detour is in effect, westbound State Street traffic will be directed south on West Street, west on High Street and north on Adams Street.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Adams Street, east on Taylor Street, and north on West Street.
High Street will be one-way westbound during the project.
