Lapel Lions Club annual fruit sale on
LAPEL — Lapel Lions Club is taking orders for fresh citrus fruit from Florida.
The cost of a 20-pound (2/5 of a bushel) of navel oranges or red grapefruit is $30. A 40-pound (4/5 of a bushel) of each is $40. Prices are the same as last year.

Orders must be placed by Saturday, Nov. 13.
Fruit will be available for pickup at the Lions Building, 329 S. Main St., Lapel, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.
Gallery 119 offers November show
PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society’s Christmas In Pendleton show will run to Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Ann Johnson judged the show. First place received $75, second place $40 and third $30. People’s Choice had a $20 prize. Jerry and Sharon Wymer were sponsors for the show.
Gallery 119 is located at 119 W. State St., Pendleton.
Gallery 119 offers art classes
PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society’s Gallery 119 offers art classes on a regular basis.
The next classes are:
• Painting with Diane Burrell — evening sessions. Each session is comprised of four classes, set for 6:30 to 9 p.m. Session 3: Nov. 11, 18 and 25, and Dec. 2.
Students will work on their own paintings or one of Diane’s. There will be a focus on selecting a composition and color palette from photos, pictures and sketchbook ideas. Classes will include demonstrations and worksheets. Cost is $55 per session. Participants must bring supplies or pay $10 extra per class. Class is limited to 10 students.
• Oil Painting With Gini Deaton — 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14. Deaton will teach how to paint step-by-step a cloudscape and inspiring steeple called “Hope Reaches High.” Cost is $55 and includes all supplies. Participants are asked to bring paper towel. All levels of painters welcome.
• Talking Photography with Don Saxon — 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 18 and Dec. 16. Saxon will help photographers learn more about photography and provide an opportunity to discuss photography and take part in exercises aimed at improving their skill level. The cost is a $5 donation.
• Watercolor With Judy Crist — 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 20. Crist will teach participants how paint a cardinal in the snow. The cost is $45 with all supplies provided.
• Children’s Art Classes — 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the second Saturday each month. Each class will be different and taught by different teachers. Each class is independent and will need its own registration. The class for each month will be advertised on the PAS website.
