Shirley A. (Baltimore) Murphy, 86, of Pendleton passed away on November 23, 2022.

She was born December 15, 1935 in Pennington Gap, Virginia and resided most of her life in Pendleton.

Shirley retired from Western Electric Corporation following 30 years of service.

She was a member of Pendleton Baptist Church and Pendleton Lions Club. Shirley enjoyed reading, embroidering and especially her grandkids.

Survivors include two daughters, Jerri (Scott) Rich of Anderson and Helen Shirley of Fishers; four grandchildren, Josh Cortrecht, Chante’ Rich, Ashley Huse and Chelsea Deitch; 13 great grandchildren, Keegan Cortrecht, Kyle Cortrecht, Kain Cortrecht, Kaleb Cortrecht, Khloe Cortrecht, Keelin Watson, Kennedi Lee, Kamryn Lee, Eian Huse, Eyllah Huse, Ellie Sanborn, Everett Deitch and Atlas Deitch; sister, Sandy Alford of Pendleton; sister-in-law, Elke Baltimore of Pendleton; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby (Richards) Baltimore; husband, Harold Murphy; brother, James Baltimore; twin sister, Barbara Whiteley and brothers-in-law, Larry Whiteley and Jon Alford.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Pendleton Baptist Church, 207 Old State Road 132, Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Dennis Clark officiating. Burial followed in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pendleton Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pendleton Baptist Church.

Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
