Republican voters in Lapel have a choice in primary election


LAPEL — There are six candidates in two competitive Lapel races on the Republican ballot in the Tuesday, May 2, primary election.

Four candidates are vying for three Lapel Town Council nominations, and two candidates are competing for the clerk-treasurer nomination.

For the council race, current town council members Chad Blake and Brian Robertson, newcomer Roger Fouse and former Lapel Town Council president Gary Shuck look to be among the top three vote-getters on Tuesday.

Another former Lapel Town Council president, Teresa Retherford, and Laura Pilkington are vying for the clerk-treasurer nomination.
