Packing a lot in

Fall Creek Christian Church volunteers recently packed 31,104 meals to be used to help feed people around the world. “We’ve done meal packs on Thanksgiving morning for the last five-plus years” said Jill Sizemore, communications director at the church, in an email. Scores of people from “Our Fall Creek family” volunteered at International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) in Nobliesville to do the work, Sizemore said. IDES — which turned 50 years old this year — states on its website that it has five main focus areas around the world: evangelism, disaster response, hunger relief, community development and medical care.”The meals will be shipped to global partners who will distribute them to the malnourished,” Sizemore said.
