Bill Moon, 85, passed away, April 23, 2012, at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Middletown and was an Anderson resident most of his life.

Bill was a Marine Corps veteran of World WarII. He was the owner of the former Fall Creek Sales and Service for 30 years. Bill was a member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge 681, Anderson; Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite; Murat Shrine Temple, Indianapolis; Madison County Shrine Club; Pendleton AMVETS Post 26; and Pendleton American Legion Post 117.

Survivors include his daughter, Denise Moon Sigler of Anderson; two granddaughters, Lori Sigler and Jessica Sigler; six great-grandchildren, Paris Scott, Xavier Scott, Grace Scott, Raven Hoskins, Quentin Albea and Jaxson Albea; brother, Charles Moon of Simi Valley, CA; three sisters, Ruth Emery of Roanoke, VA, Betty Looper of Markleville, and Virginia Peters of Kennard; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardith Leroy and Florence Lee (Montgomery) Moon; wife, Mildred I. (Wilson) Moon; niece, Patricia Moon; and nephew, William Henry Wilson.

Visitation was held from 2 – 6 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton, and included a Masonic memorial service at 6 p.m.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Valarie Kline officiating. Burial with military honors followed in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
