Tamera (Tami) Y. (Heisey) Upton, 46, of Markleville, passed away Dec. 13, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 9, 1967, in Troy, Ohio, the daughter of Duane and Dixie Heisey.

She graduated from Pendleton Heights High School class of 1986. She attended International Business College. She worked at IPT in Greenfield.   She was employed at Tractor Supply Warehouse, Pendleton, until 2007. Tami loved her family and loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers, camping and always had a contagious smile.

Survivors include her parents, Duane and Dixie Heisey of Pendleton; sons, Joel (Ashley) Sanders of Ingalls and Mason Upton of Markleville ; grandchildren, Emy Grace Athena, 10 and Joel Michael, 8 months; goddaughter, Shelby Fulp, 11; sister, Tonya (Roger) Weaver of Noblesville; niece, Ashley Weaver, 8; special friends, Zella Fulp, Christy Mercer, Kaye Koomler and Sammy, the cat she loved. She is also survived by, seven uncles; six aunts; 19 cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Alice Heisey; Jacob and Mary Gibbel and Aunt Freda Heisey.

Visitation was held from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Brown- Butz- Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory officiated by Pastor Doug Walker of Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
