Arabian sets school record at state swim meet

PENDLETON — Junior McKenna Jule’s trip to the state swim meet Feb. 10 hit new heights as she represented Pendleton Heights.

In the preliminary round at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Natatorium, Jule set a new school record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.61.

She went into the competition seeded 24th in her event. With her finish, she moved to 20th, but just missed the finals by .25 seconds.

She was among 10 of 32 swimmers to better their times in the event .

At the sectional just a week prior, Jule broke the school record as well.
