NEW CASTLE — The Pendleton Heights boys track and field team placed second at a three-way event in New Castle on Tuesday.

Anderson won the invite with 61 points, with the Arabians hot on their heels with 54. The host Trojans posted a score of 40.

Sophomore Milan Jones posted a personal best in the 1,600-meter run at 4:37 as he and his older brother, senior Parker Jones, dominated the distance events. The elder Parker won the 3,200, with teammate Luke Upton finishing second.

Milan Jones also closed out the evening taking part in the Pendleton Heights 4×400 relay team — along with Thomas Quiroga, Eli Pancol and Wren Parker — which placed first.

It was another relay team that started the Arabians off right as the 4×800 team picked up a win to open the competition. Jayden Wenning, Nolan Cauley, Caleb Martin and Cole Buck collaborated on the win.

Payton Huth picked up a win in the pole vault, while Dawson Farrer placed second in the discus, highlighting the field events.

Brody Hogan in the 300 hurdles and Parker in the 800 run earned close seconds for Pendleton Heights.
