CICERO — The Lapel Bulldogs came up just short at Bear Slide Golf Course Wednesday.
Lapel posted a team score of 186, just one shot off the 185 scored by Hamilton Heights as the Bulldogs dropped a dual meet.
Logan McAtee led Lapel and was the medalist with a 41. Jaxonn Fetty shot a 46, Ian Vipperman posted a 49 and Joe Cantrell came in with a 50 to round out the Bulldog scoring.
Weather permitting, the Bulldogs will visit Daleville Friday on the eve of Saturday’s Madison County tournament at Grandview Golf Course in Anderson, where Lapel will try to defend its title.
