NEW CASTLE — The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame announced its 2017 Silver Anniversary Team, a group of players who were outstanding seniors 25 years ago.

Among the 18 women named to the team was a former Pendleton Heights great.

When Megan (Hupfer) McCloskey graduated from Pendleton Heights in 1992, she was the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in school history. She was the first Indiana All-Star from Pendleton Heights and now has been recognized 25 years later for her accomplishments.

McCloskey scored 1,074 points and had 628 rebounds as an Arabian before accepting a basketball scholarship at Morehead State University in Kentucky. During her collegiate career, she scored 1,444 points, grabbed 792 rebounds, and is ninth in school history with a field goal percentage of 58.6 percent.

After graduating from Morehead State, McCloskey went on to complete her graduate work and earn an MBA at Xavier University. She is a vice president-branch manager for JP Morgan Chase bank, is married with four children, and lives in Coldspring, Kentucky.
