PENDLETON — Pendleton Correctional Industrial Facility Indiana Canine Assistance Network (ICAN) offender trainers recently watched a canine graduation ceremony at the Indiana Women’s Prison in Indianapolis.

Eighteen trainers watched from two facilities using recently installed video conference equipment.

The trainers could watch three dogs they trained graduate and begin helping individuals.

“ICAN is one of our most successful programs at CIF, as well as a valuable service provided to the community,” warden Wendy Knight wrote in a press release. “We were extremely pleased that these men got to see what their hard work accomplished.”
