PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society’s annual fundraiser Artfest is set for Friday, April 12, at Crystal Coop in Anderson.
The evening will include dinner; a silent, live and basket auction; and a 50/50 drawing.
This year’s event has a Western theme. Dinner will include brisket, pork and chicken; buffalo macaroni and cheese; and BBQ baked beans by Nameless Catering.
Karen Zane, event chairwoman, said the event usually raises $4,000 to $5,000.
Pendleton Artists Society, founded 11 years ago, is a non-profit organization that supports Gallery 119 in downtown Pendleton.
“People don’t realize how much the art gallery contributes to the town,” Zane said. “It provides an artistic outlet for the community.”
The gallery offers classes for beginners to advanced in various media, she said.
The clay studio offers classes using various techniques from potter’s wheel to molding.
In addition, there are classes at all levels in acrylic, oil, fiber, photography and jewelry.
The gallery also has 11 art shows a year with a first Friday open house.
Children can attend Saturday classes or Kids Camp in the summer.
With board approval, the gallery may be rented for club meetings or small events.
A gift shop is also available with various art objects for sale.
Artfest tickets may be purchased from the galley until April 6, at a cost of $32.
Individuals can reserve a table for six to eight people.
Doors open at 5:30, and the auction starts at 7 p.m. Glen Wilson will be the auctioneer.
Crystal Coop is located at 3400 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
