PENDLETON–For the second straight game to start the season, the Pendleton Heights girls’ soccer team entered halftime tied with their opponent at one goal apiece.

For the second straight game, the Arabian offense exploded in the second half.

Senior Kate Cowger pulled off a hat trick with three goals and an assist and junior Helena Talbot added a goal and two assists as the Arabians scored five times in the second half to beat University 6-1 Saturday afternoon.

Junior Taylor Fort added a goal and an assist and is now tied with Cowger for the team lead in both categories.

Junior Claire Fendel chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Arabians who host Lawrence North later today. Varsity is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. after the 5:30 start for the junior varsity match.
