Pendleton golf fourth at HHC outing

PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights boys golf finished fourth — seven shots off the top spot — in the Hoosier Heritage Conference championship in an extremely close meet Saturday, May 12, at Hawk’s Tail.

New Castle (330) finished first followed by Mt. Vernon (332), Yorktown (334) and Pendleton Heights (337). New Palestine (338) was three strokes ahead of sixth-place Delta (341).

Top Pendleton Heights High School golfers were Austin Davis 78, Riley George 81, Wyatt Weaver 86 and Carter Ray 92. 

Earlier in the week, the team fell to Fishers 149-160 on Tuesday, May 8. 

Pendleton’s Garrett Nealon was low shooter for the Arabians with an even par 36.
